Video Card: ATI RADEON 7500 Review :: Installation

Author: Doc Overclock · 11-07-2001 · Category: Hardware - Video Cards

Nothing fancy here, if this is a new system just install the drivers after the initial OS and system drivers are installed. Put the included CD in the CD reader and follow the onscreen instructions. I would recommend downloading the latest drivers from their website as soon as you're on the net as they offer better performance than the ones provided on the CD.

If you are up and going and this is an upgrade:

  1. Open your control panel
  2. Select add and remove programs
  3. Uninstall any video drivers you have there.
  4. Shutdown the system
  5. Remove your old card
  6. Install the new one
  7. Close everything up and restart the system
  8. You will be prompted for drivers
  9. Direct the search to your CD reader.

This will install the basic drivers. The other multimedia drivers should also be installed off the CD.
