MSI long time motherboard and VGA manufacture has been holding the number two pole position for the last five years in an attempt to swoop past the number one place holder ASUS. MSI has become the largest VGA player in the game and no one rivals them in that arena as they have slowly taken over large shares of the market making them the top dog. Shuttle pioneered the way for companies to enter the SFF market and their risks and gambles have paid off well for others who have seen the light and hopped aboard this new bandwagon of mini PC's.

The PC seems to get smaller with each new generation of SFF systems and the trend continues with MSI's new MEGA PC that is smaller than the average SFF PC and loaded with features not found on even the most enthusiasts' oriented product. Taking the mini PC to the next level the new MEGA PC is the smallest units I have had grace my desk yet and offers much more of a feature package than some of its larger cousins like the XPC from Shuttle or the QBIC from Soltek allowing for great things in a small package. Let us take a closer look at this new unit and see how it fares in the lab against some of its competition in a little head to head performance battle.
