Multiplayer

Hurray! Here’s yet another game that caters to the zerg. If you’re not familiar with the term zerg, then you’re probably very new to the world of RTSs, and you might actually enjoy this game. However, if you’re actually looking for strategy in a Real Time Strategy game then you most definitely want to stay away from SEGA’s Universe at War – Earth Assault.

Take the same choppy gameplay found in skirmish mode only instead of an AI opponent you will face another human being. And … the guy with the biggest zerg force will emerge victorious. The only innovating feature when it comes to multiplayer is the cross-platform-play feature where PC players can take on Xbox 360 players. Note: I’ve reviewed several RTSs where I’ve explained the term ZERG, but I feel like I owe it to all the new readers to explain the term again. I won’t take much of your time explaining it. ZERG refers to overwhelming numbers. It is the strategy of building more and more and charging. No strategy is really applied, just numbers. The guy that builds the fastest wins this war.
