If FPS games have taught us anything, it's that the future is going to suck. More wars will be happening, and they seem to happen in almost every city on the planet. And not just WW3, but WW4 and beyond is what we have seen.
Enemy Territory Quake Wars is no exception. Although it seems that this time around we aren't going to be fighting other humans, even that would be an improvement over this invasion. Now we are fighting an enemy, although not new to us, the battlegrounds are new and different.
Earth has been invaded by the Strogg; fans of the Quake series will quickly recognize these creatures. For those of you who have played Quake 2 and Quake 4, the Strogg are old news, you just get a new place to fight them. This also takes place just before Quake 2.
Now let's assume that you only picked this game up because you loved the first Enemy Territory. First of all, the Strogg aren't like the Nazis you killed in the first game, the Strogg make the Nazis look far nicer in comparison. The Strogg are a race of mechanically modified humanoids whose only interest is to destroy whatever is in their path.
In the defense of our home planet we have the GDF. A group of dedicated humans determined to fight off the Strogg invasion, the GDF fights the Strogg both on our world, and back on theirs. This battle will wage on until one side finally wins, and for the GDF loss means extinction. Take the time and join in the fight today.
